Performance artist & Soft Sculptor

Hattie Thomas (she/her) is a performance artist and soft sculptor based in Liverpool, UK.

My sculptural practice revolves around wearable art, using soft materials to create a sense of comfort through tactile means. Focusing on the body as a performative tool, restricting and enhancing the movement of the body through garments. My work has connotations of camp and kitsch humour, subtly suggesting to the art of drag and fashion.

Making work to engage the audience with a more fun side to art, making the work interactive so it is easier to feel incorporated. The distorted view of the body through my garments can hopefully make us feel good in our own, creating big lumps and bumps to show the audience that size and shape can be fun.

To dress up, feel good and have a good time.
